Shares of Tibco Software Inc (NASDAQ: TIBX) are trading nearly 21 percent higher in the pre-market on news that private equity firm Vista Equity Partners will take Tibco Software private. TIBX shareholders will get $24 in cash per share, a nearly 25 percent premium over the closing price of $19.51 on Friday, Sept. 26.Tibco Software had been in talks with private-equity firms earlier this month. with Vista Equity Partners rumored to be one of the suitors. The $24 cash price values the deal at 4.3 billion. It is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year. Shares of TIBX were last quoted at 23.66 in the pre-market, up 4.10 from the closing price Friday of 19.51.
