Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM) announced on Tuesday that Brian Niccol will become the new CEO of Taco Bell, effective January 1, 2015. Niccol will be making this move as current Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed moves on to become the CEO of Yum! Brands.Niccol commented, "It's an honor to step into this role and to represent our brand, our franchisees and team members."Prior to this promotion, Niccol served as Taco Bell's chief marketing and innovation officer where he introduced the company's famous Live Mas tagline. Additionally, Niccol currently serves as the company's president, as well as chairman of the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens.
