Nikola Corp (NASDAQ:NKLA) shares are trading lower by 6.9% to $0.84 Tuesday morning, as a result of downward momentum stemming from another truck fire incident that occurred on Friday. This incident represents the second fire involving the company's vehicles this week and the fourth such occurrence this year.

What Happened?

An ‘engineering validation' battery-electric truck caught fire around 8:30 am on Friday near Nikola's Phoenix headquarters. Nikola said in a statement to Benzinga that this incident occurred during a battery fire investigation and testing.
