A spokesperson from the Stanford School of Medicine issued the following statement regarding the school's relationship with Nu Skin Enterprises (NYSE: NUS):NuSkin and the Dermatology Department at the Stanford School of Medicine have had a research agreement since April 1, 1999. To date the sponsored research has funded 15 clinical trials totaling $2.25 million All of these trials have been completed. An additional sum of nearly $2 million was used to support a basic science research grant. That research has also concluded. In October, 2009, the Department of Dermatology received an additional grant of $1,597,500 for a new research project. That research is ongoing. Overall, Nu Skin has funded specific research projects totaling nearly $5.8 million since the original agreement in 1999.
