Shares of Nielsen Holdings NV (NYSE: NLSN) dropped about 0.14% after the company announced its plans to launch a public offering of 25 million shares of common stock.Shares of LSI Industries Inc (NASDAQ: LYTS) rose about 3.1% after the company announced its plans to acquire Virticus Corporation for $3.15 million in cash and a contingent payment opportunity (earn-out) of $5.0 million.Shares of Safeway Inc (NYSE: SWY) dropped about 2% after the company raised its stock buyback program by $1 billion. The company also declared a regular quarterly dividend of 14.5 cents per share. Safeway had around $0.4 billion remaining under its stock buyback program.Jacada Ltd (NASDAQ: JCDA) announced the resignation of its Co- Chief Executive Officer, Tom Clear. The company also named Gideon Hollander as its Chief Executive Officer effective April 7, 2012. Shares of Covidien PLC (NYSE: COV) dropped about 0.4% after the company announced its plans to buy superDimension Ltd for $300 million plus potential contingent payments. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
