Both Express Scripts (NASDAQ: ESRX) and MedcoHealth Solutions (NYSE: MHS) expect their merger to be completed in the first half of 2012. Anticipation of the deal sent shares in both stocks higher Tuesday. Spokespersons from Express Scripts and MedcoHealth, speaking to Benzinga, reiterated their expectations of a deal completion by mid-year.MedcoHealth Solutions closed at $67.64 Tuesday, a gain of 1.68% on 1.5 times the average daily volume.Express Scripts closed at $53.78 Tuesday, a gain of 1.38% on 1.3 times the average daily volume.
