Nutanix released its second quarter fiscal 2019 results on February 28, 2019. The Company reported its third-quarter guidance to be lower than analysts' expectations. Management blamed "inadequate marketing spend for pipeline generation and slower than expected sales hiring" for the weak guidance. Based on these facts, the Company's public statements were false and materially misleading throughout the class period. When the market learned the truth about Nutanix, investors suffered damages.
