Market Media's 2015 Summer Trading Network Preview

Market Media’s 2015 Summer Trading Network (STN) will be kicking off on July 15 at historic Carnegie Hall in New York. On Wednesday afternoon, Benzinga founder Jason Raznick will be joining the list of distinguished speakers at this year’s event.

Here’s a look at what attendees can expect.

Theme
According to Markets Media CEO Mohan Videe, STN 2015 will focus on all the latest trends in the world of financial technology. “We’ll focus on the most cutting-edge, forward-looking financial technology topics that are shaping the future of electronic trading—spanning pre-trade, execution and post trade, including mobile, co-location, connectivity, transparency, and trade reporting over the front, middle and back office,” Videe writes on the event’s website.

Panels
The event will feature panel sessions geared toward a range of topics, including the use of social media trends in trading and FinTech startup fundraising. In addition, STN will feature a fun “Fintank” panel during which FinTech idea incubators will pitch ideas to venture capitalists and angel investors to receive feedback and advice from experienced startup backers.

Speakers
The keynote speaker at this year’s event is Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset Holdings. Other speakers include Raznick, Jock Percy of Perseus, Alfred Eskander of Portware, Jimmy Chrystal of Triana and Neil DeSana of SenaHill. Percy, Eskander and Chrystal will be discussing their respective companies’ climbs up the FinTech ladder, from startup to established business.

In addition, DeSana will provide a venture capital/investment bank perspective on the FinTech world.

Networking
This year’s event will also provide unique FinTech networking opportunities, include a cocktail reception featuring cuisine from some of New York’s finest restaurants, as well as premium spirits and cigars. Registration for STN 2015 is currently open on the event’s website.
