US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 10 points to 13,065.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.40 points to 1,391.40. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 11.75 points to 2,682.75.

A Peek Into Global Markets

European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.18%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.61%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.19% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.61%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 2%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 1.04% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.18%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index surged 1.69% and India's Sensex rose 1.25%.

Analysts at RW Baird upgraded American Water Works Company

from “neutral” to “outperform.” The target price for American Water Works has been raised from $35 to $41. American Water Works shares gained 3.78% to close at $37.62 on Friday.
