Busy Day Of New ETF Debuts Ahead For iShares

Coming on the heels of the debut of the iShares MSCI Norway Capped Investable Market Index Fund (BATS: ENOR), the first ETF to be listed on the BATS Exchange operated by BATS Global Markets, iShares will introduce seven more BATS-listed ETFs today.

The funds, which include some first to market offerings will add to iShares' already vaunted lineup of country-specific ETFs.

The new ETFs debuting today include the Shares MSCI Australia Small Cap Index Fund (BATS: EWAS), iShares MSCI Canada Small Cap Index Fund (BATS: EWCS) iShares MSCI Finland Capped Investable Market Index Fund (BATS: EFNL) iShares MSCI Germany Small Cap Index Fund (BATS: EWGS), iShares MSCI Denmark Capped Investable Market Index Fund (BATS:EDEN) and the iShares MSCI United Kingdom Small Cap Index Fund (BATS: EWUS).

The Australia and Canada offerings will become competitors to the IndexIQ Australia Small-Cap eTF (NYSE: KROO) and the IndexIQ Canada Small-Cap ETF (NYSE: CNDA) while the iShares MSCI Germany Small Cap Index Fund will be a rival to the Market Vectors Germany Small Cap ETF (NYSE: GERJ).

iShares also plans to introduce the iShares MSCI India Index Fund (BATS: INDA) iShares MSCI India Small Cap Index Fund (BATS: SMIN) at a later date. The small-cap offering faces competition in the form of the EGShares India Small Cap ETF (NYSE: SCIN) and the Market Vectors India Small Cap ETF (NYSE: SCIF).
