May Corn is trading at 389 1/2 cents. July Corn is trading at 397, up a 1/2 cent. Market talk is now beginning to focus on planting acreage in U.S. The focus of traders attention moves rather rapidly this time of year regardless of market direction. Some chatter is emerging about the size of the second crop in Brazil. The USDA reported that weekly export sales of corn was 864,000 tons. Market talk that a survey from the International Grains Council is showing global corn production may fall a bit to 938 million tons from 992 million. Friday is the last day of the month and trading is expected to be choppy as month-end pricing comes into play.
