IRVING, Texas, Dec. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Metals Company (NYSE: CMC), announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, CMC Steel Fabricators, Inc., has acquired substantially all of the assets of Continental Concrete Structures, Inc. (CCS). CCS is a fabricator of post-tensioning cable and related products for commercial and public construction projects with a facility in Alpharetta, Georgia.  In addition, CCS provides professional design and value engineering services to the construction industry throughout North America.

CCS has an annual capacity of 4 million feet of post tensioning cable production and the ability to package this product with engineering services, fabricated reinforcing steel and site placing.

Tracy Porter, CMC's Executive Vice President, CMC Operations, commented: "This acquisition continues CMC's strategy of creating value for customers. Post tensioning cable is a great complement to our current rebar fabrication business.
