S&P 500 recorded its biggest single day decline today, since the beginning of the year. Investors are worried about unrest in Libya, and they are trying to find shelter in oil and gold. Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bear 3X Shares (NYSE: SOXS) spiked 11.78% today, and in the semiconductor space, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) dropped 9.44%. Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMAT) fell 4.89%, and KLA-Tencor Corporation (NASDAQ: KLAC) lost 4.65%.Direxion Daily China Bear 3x Shares ETF (NYSE: CZI) gained 10.60% on the weakness of stocks like Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR) (NASDAQ: BIDU) and China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE: LFC). Baidu.com (BIDU) fell 5.14% today, and China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (ADR) (LFC) dropped 3.06%.ProShares Trust UltraPro Short QQQ ETF (NASDAQ: SQQQ) added 8.87% today, as the NASDAQ-100 Index fell 2.91%. Expeditors International of Washington (NASDAQ: EXPD) was the biggest laggard in the NASDAQ-100 Index on Tuesday. It fell 10.56%, and closed at $49.04.
