When AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) acquired DIRECTV, management said it would launch an Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming TV subscription service in the fall.

Now, it seems like AT&T's CEO confirmed the launch. The new "all in" OTT offering will include 100 channels and cost $35 per month, according to a Tweet from Karissa Bell.

The news comes from Wall Street Journal's 2016 Global Tech Conference.

"We expect the millions of people who don’t now subscribe to a video service and prefer a streaming option will be impressed," said CFO John Stephens back in July.

"The company has the programming arrangements in place and is working out the technical issues to ensure a smooth launch," UBS anlayst John Holdulik said at the time. "Management expects OTT/wireless bundles to drive improving trends in both segments while supporting the strategic rationale for the company’s $62 billion purchase of DirecTV."
