Nordstrom Plans To Extend Madewell Alliance To 20 More Stores This Fall

Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) revealed its intension to extend its alliance with Madewell by adding the brand to 20 more stores this fall. According to the retailer, this is the third distribution expansion after the initial launch of the alliance in March last year.

The partnership would result in the retailer carrying Madewell in a total of 76 locations in the United States, as well as Canada apart from its portal, Nordstrom.com. The company pointed out that outside of Madewell stores it is the only brick and mortar retailer to sell Madewell merchandise.

Nordstrom said the fall collection would hit all stores on July 27. The company added that featured styles included borrowed-from-the-boys button down plaid shirts and effortless embroidered dresses.

On Wednesday, the stock traded down by 3.44 percent at $42.42.
