Amazon Restaurants Unveils Free One-Hour Delivery in Atlanta And Miami

Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) revealed Tuesday that its Prime members in Atlanta, as well as, Miami could now enjoy free one-hour delivery from local restaurants. This included Aviva Kameel, Chai Pani, Flip Burger, Flying Biscuit, Grindhouse Killer Burgers, Varasano's Pizzeria, and many more. Amazon said that using the Prime Now mobile app or by visiting the new Prime Now website, customers in Atlanta and Miami could view participating restaurants, browse menus, place orders, track the status of their delivery, and watch as their delivery driver travels from the restaurant to the delivery address in real time.The online retailer's GM for Restaurants, Gus Lopez, said, "Whether you're looking to enjoy great southern cooking or have a craving for some Mediterranean cuisine, you no longer have to leave your house or office to enjoy some of the city's best local restaurants. Starting today, Prime members in Atlanta can enjoy free one-hour delivery with no menu markups through Amazon Restaurants on Prime Now."As far as Miami, he said, "Miami's rich culture and vibrant restaurant scene makes it the ideal place to try new restaurants and cuisines from around the world. We are excited to expand Amazon Restaurants into Miami, providing Prime members across Miami with a free one-hour delivery option from some of the city's best local restaurants." In the pre-market trading on Tuesday, the stock traded 0.59 percent higher.
