IBM Says Its MobileFirst Platform Is Deployed At Security First Insurance To Improve Experience

International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM) revealed Tuesday that Security First Insurance, which is a leading Florida-based homeowners insurance firm, has deployed its MobileFirst platform to improve its mobile experience. According to the tech firm, since deploying the app, Security First Insurance witnessed a 195 percent jump in average monthly new users apart from a 140 percent growth in online payments.

IBM's MobileFirst & Smarter Process VP, Michael Filfix, commented, "The success of the Security First Mobile app demonstrates that delivering a consistent, high-quality and contextually relevant user experience can foster a significant competitive advantage. Working with PointSource and leveraging IBM's mobile technologies, Security First Insurance was able to quickly deploy an app that delivered on all of their expectations – as well as their customers' needs – and that can easily incorporate new and innovative features to remain competitive."

Similarly, Security First Insurance VP of Marketing, Marissa Buckley, said that "To stay competitive and drive customer loyalty in the highly competitive home insurance industry, we felt it was imperative to provide a seamless mobile experience that not only delivers on our customers' specific needs, but also provides a differentiating value to all Floridians. The Security First Mobile app built on IBM MobileFirst platform does that by offering users the functionality they want, when they want it."

IBM said that the app generated an insurance quote in less than three minutes with the help of the Instant Quote feature and included user-friendly account management functionality. The tech firm added that since deploying the app, Security First Insurance has seen a 35 percent growth in leads among mobile users for it.

Shares of the company traded 0.46 percent down on Tuesday.
