ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq: MANT) disclosed that it has been granted $44.2 million worth of contract by the U.S. Department of Defense. The company added that the contract was to provide operational and user maintenance (O&uM) and software maintenance support to the Product Manager (PM) Joint Personnel Identification (JPI) Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRC) Sustainment.ManTech said that the PM JPI was responsible for ensuring the QRC task order supports warfighter needs by sustaining adequate O&uM and software maintenance functions that needed on everyday basis. The QRC requirement included both hardware, i.e. devices, and software, which were used for biometrics collection, storage, matching, and analysis in a forward operating environment. The company indicated that the cost-plus-fixed-fee task order has a 12-month base period of performance, as well as, a similar option period, with a potential total value to ManTech of $44.2 million.ManTech's President and COO, Daniel Keefe, said that "ManTech is excited to provide a responsive and innovative team to support this mission-critical program."Shares of the company traded 0.26 percent down on Monday.
