Shares of Guidance Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: GUID), a provider of endpoint investigation solutions for cybersecurity analytics, surged higher by more than 8 percent on Thursday after Shawn and Jennifer Lynn McCreight disclosed a 29.7 percent stake in the company.Shawn McCreigh founded Guidance Software in 1997 and his been its Chief Technology Officer since 2003 and Jennifer is a major shareholder of the company.In a 13D filing on Thursday, Shawn and Jennifer reported their combined stake in the company totaled 29.7 percent. The filing noted that the purchase in shares was made under the belief that the stock "were undervalued and represented an attractive investment opportunity."
