GoPro, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) just launched its Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) Watch features on Thursday in the GoPro app for iOS. The Apple Watch features in the GoPro App for iOS enables quick access to GoPro's camera controls right from the user's wrist. GoPro's shares were up more than 3 percent to above $17 as the news was released. The new app allows users to take pictures on a GoPro camera directly from the Apple smartwatch. With the new Apple Watch app, the user can preview their camera shot, start/stop record, toggle between capture modes, and add HiLight Tags to the greatest highlights of their videos. The app is a new addition to Apple Watch's existing 10,000 apps which are available for the device. The latest update will become available on September 16.Additionally, GoPro made another significant announcement on Wednesday evening, stating that it has named its upcoming drone Karma. Karma is expected to be launching in 2016.GoPro's stock has taken major hits, specifically in relationship with the economy. Consumer sentiment is in a direct relation to the sales volume of the number of cameras sold by the manufacturer of wearable and mountable cameras and accessories. It's obvious that when consumer sentiment is high, the company's sales will rise. Sentiment on San Mateo, California-based GoPro improved this morning following FBR Capital featuring the company as a key takeover target for Apple. Alongside the current speculations, many analysts are confident that GoPro may be a prime candidate, due to its cheap valuation. GoPro's third quarter earnings were guided poorly for its revenues in the present quarter.
