NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

WallStAnalyst.com's (SEBI Reg. # INH200000147) (www.wallstanalyst.com) ‘Weekly Screener' analyzes the macro events and market factors that have left their marks on the equities, currencies and commodities markets last week. Following last Friday's nonfarm payroll data from the U.S., global markets continue to traverse troubled waters as volatility digs deeper into investors' psyche. The current markets' instability is prolonging the exposure of a number of basic materials companies into volatile territory and some of these companies are included in our Weekly Screener Coverage: Bonanza Creek Energy Inc. (NYSE: BCEI), Eclipse Resources Corporation (NYSE: ECR), Oasis Petroleum Inc. (NYSE: OAS), Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE: DNR) and Callon Petroleum Company (NYSE: CPE). Last week's trading sessions have seen the oil sector vacillating further in volatile market conditions. However, last Friday, a number of oil and gas companies experienced a bullish rally as oil prices finished the day up at $45.54 a barrel. Crude prices were lifted to nearly 2% following a U.S. oil rigs count report indicating another weekly drop in rigs drilling for oil. Last week's decline was the fifth week in a row that the number of rigs was cut, and the number of idled rigs in that week was the highest for a single week since April 2015.
