(NYSE: UTX), has been selected by General Dynamics Land Systems (NYSE: GD) for the Stryker Modernization Generator Subsystem Engineering and Manufacturing Development verification and validation program.The contract award is part of the Phase I Stryker Modernization program designed to increase the combat capabilities of an already proven military vehicle by incorporating lessons learned in Afghanistan and Iraq. Improvements include enhanced engine/transmission suspension, height management system, central tire inflation systems brakes, driveline, hull structure, seats and environmental upgrades.
