Omega Protein Corporation (NYSE: OME), a nutritional product company and a leading integrated provider of specialty oils, essential fatty acids and specialty protein products, acknowledged today that it has received a letter from a shareholder, Wynnefield Capital Management, LLC that was filed as an exhibit to a Schedule 13D filing made by that shareholder with the Securities and Exchange Commission.Omega Protein's Chairman of the Board, Gary R.
