Trina Solar Announces Shipment of 6.9 MW Trinasmart PV Modules to Anesco in the UK

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a global leader in photovoltaic ("PV") modules, solutions, and services, today announced it has supplied 6.9 MW of Trinasmart  PV modules to Anesco's ground mounted solar farm in the UK that was commissioned in March 2015. The installation incorporates patented Trinasmart technology, a complete solution that includes power optimisation to increase system performance by up to 20 per cent together with monitoring built into the module junction box. Trinasmart allows monitoring and controlling of the PV array at the module level rather than at inverter level compared to traditional modules. It can also be monitored and controlled in real time with a smart mobile device or PC. Furthermore, in cases of emergencies such as electrical failure and fire emergency, the modules can be totally deactivated with a single click to eliminate high voltages and secure the safety of the firefighters.
