MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has hired Dani Longoria as Vice President of Advertising.

In her role overseeing the company's Advertising Sales Department, Longoria will be responsible for identifying, structuring and leading new sales and marketing opportunities; managing major and critical developing client accounts; tracking and reporting revenues; working with Human Resources on commission programs and incentives; and maintaining extensive knowledge of new products and programs that will help distinctively position the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel across a variety of media platforms.

Longoria will be responsible for a combined revenue portfolio of over $112 million which, in addition to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, includes national media sales for Journal Media Group, which will be the parent company of the Journal Sentinel following the close of the proposed transaction between Journal Communications and The E.W. Scripps Company.

Longoria joins the Journal Sentinel from The E.W. Scripps Company, where she has worked for nine years in the company's newspaper division as the Senior Director of Sales Channel Management and the last five years as Managing Director of National Media & Account Development, driving centralized major, national and local category Scripps teams for 13 publisher groups.

Prior to her tenure at Scripps, Longoria worked for Gannett at the Arizona Republic, Clear Channel Communications and Fox/Telemundo.
