Jay Gupta joined Alaska Airlines asmanaging director of infrastructure and modern platforms in its Informationand Technology Services division. Gupta is responsible for strategy,implementation and operations for the airline's data centers, airports, callcenters and mobile employees."Jay brings with him over 18 years of IT experience and a track record ofdelivering operational excellence and setting strategic technology directionto align with corporate vision and financial goals," said Kris Kutchera, theairline's vice president of information technology. "He will help us continueto grow our services to our customers as we strive to become the easiestairline to fly."For the last four years, Gupta was senior director of infrastructure withThomson Reuters, managing the global infrastructure for its revenue-generatingand customer-facing products. Prior to that he served as informationtechnology director for Oracle leading its global Cloud Services initiatives.Gupta has a bachelor's degree from Calcutta University, in India and willgraduate in May 2015 with an Executive MBA from Carlson School of Managementat the University of Minnesota.
