Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) may in fact be working on an electric car to rival Tesla Motors. (NASDAQ: TSLA)Business Insider said that it received an unsolicited email from an Apple employee regarding "vehicle development" while making the claim that so far around 50 ex-Tesla employees with specialties in mechanics, manufacturing and robotics have already "jumped ship" to work at Apple. The Apple employee also said that its project "will change the landscape and give Tesla a run for its money."Apple may indeed be working on some kind of vehicle, although Business Insider suggestions doing so is "way outside" its core. The publication does speculate that Apple is developing a new iPhone to car experience that will compete with what Tesla offers in its vehicles.
