U.S. registrations of Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model S soared 152 percent in October to 2,391 according to data from IHS Automotive.

The January to October period’s 11,731 registrations are down 22 percent, however, compared to 2013.

“US sales have been down in 2014 as it shifted deliveries to Asia, constraining domestic supply. That changed in September when TSLA got thousands of electric cars to waiting customers here, showing up in October registration figures,” according to Dow Jones.
