Twitter Partners With IBM: Tweeting Will Play A Larger Role In Business Decisions

On Wednesday, Twitter Inc's (NYSE: TWTR) Vice President of Business Development Chris Moody detailed in a blog post the company's new partnership with International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM).

"While companies have long listened to what their customers are saying on Twitter, complex enterprise decisions often require input from a lot of different systems. IBM's expertise is in integrating complex systems and data to make better decisions."

Twitter's partnership with IBM will now enable IBM solutions to access Twitter data as an "input for multi-variable, pattern-dependent questions." As an example, the type of question might be "why are we growing quickly in Brazil."

Twitter's partnership with IBM allows corporate clients to address a void of integrating Twitter data into their business operations, making Twitter's data a more valuable input to the operation of global enterprises.
