Marriott Reports Q3 Earnings Growth, Record Number Of Rooms Worldwide

Marriott International Inc (NASDAQ: MAR) reported its third quarter earnings on Tuesday.

The hospitality company's EBITDA, in particular, registered $393 million for the period and rose 19 percent over the same quarter last year, on an adjusted-EBITDA basis.

Marriott also reported 700,000 rooms worldwide -- a company record.

Worth noting, net income rose to $192 million from $160 million on a year-over-year basis.

In after-hours trading on Tuesday, shares are up over 4 percent on tepid volume.
