ATLANTA, Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bernie Donachie has joined the Atlanta office of Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), a global consulting firm, as a managing director in its Business Performance Improvement (BPI) practice where he leads the supply chain service line of business. 

Donachie has more than 30 years of procurement and sourcing experience, including large-scale procurement transformation. He has experience in supply chain strategy, inventory management, logistics and warehousing as well as strategic cost reduction, working capital management, and ERP optimization and implementation.

Prior to joining Protiviti, Donachie was a managing director at Accenture in its supply chain operations practice. Before that, Donachie was a supply chain management consultant for Meritus Consulting Services. He also spent 17 years with IBM where he rose to procurement director for IBM Global Services.

Donachie has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wilkes University.
