Walgreen Co (NYSE: WAG) reported a 7.5% rise in its same-store sales in June.Walgreen's overall sales climbed 8.9% to $6.28 billion. Its same-store sales in the pharmacy section climbed 11.3% in June. Walgreen's same-store customer traffic declined 2%.Same-store prescriptions filled increased 7.3%, while basket size gained 3.3%. Total front-end sales gained 1.8%, while comparable store front-end sales surged 1.3% in June.Walgreen's FY14 year-to-date sales for the first 10 months jumped 6% to $63.65 billion, from $60.04 billion.Walgreens opened 15 stores and closed 13 stores in June.Walgreen shares gained 1.26% to $73.96 in pre-market trading.
