DERIDDER, La., June 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AMERISAFE, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMSF) a specialty provider of hazardous workers' compensation insurance, today announced that Craig Leach, AMERISAFE's Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, will retire effective December 31, 2014. Mr. Leach has had a distinguished career with AMERISAFE, serving in a number of key sales and marketing positions since beginning his insurance career with a predecessor to the company in 1980.

Until his retirement in December, Mr. Leach will continue to serve as AMERISAFE's Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Following his retirement and for the next five years, Mr. Leach will provide insurance and business consulting services to the company.
