Vox.com on Wednesday reported that Bud Light came in as a clear winner in 2013 U.S. beer sales. Using Information Resources's data on cases of beer sold by brand, type and percent of total sales, the charts revealed that one-in-five beers sold in the United States is
Anheuser-Busch's (NYSE: BUD) Budweiser Light.According to the Vox.com's charts, Bud Light sold 294,749,300 cases in 2013, or 20.07 percent of total sales. The closest competitor, Coors Light, sold 118,469,600 cases, making up 8.07 percent of total sales.With Bud Light reaping over 2.5 times the amount of sales of Coors, the chart comparison of Heineken, Sam Adams, Corona and Michelob is laughable.

Excluding malt beverages and craft beers, Frohlich and Sauter reported that Michelob Light came in as the biggest loser. Sales of Michelob Light fell 69.6 percent between 2007 and 2012 according to their numbers, with Anheuser-Busch selling only 340,000 barrels in 2012.Despite Michelob Light's waning franchise, Michelob Ultra Light is gaining momentum. Vox.com reported that Ultra sold 31,626,370 cases in 2013, ahead of Miller High Life, Sam Adams and Labatt Blue.Shares of Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV closed at $108.96 on Wednesday.
