ConsumerismCommentary.com is excited to announce the Fifth Annual Plutus Awards, recognizing the best in personal finance, will be held on Saturday, September 20 at the New Orleans Marriott as the pinnacle event of FinCon 2014.

This year's host and emcee will be Wise Bread Community Coordinator Ashley Jacobs, best known for her role as the host of Wise Bread's popular weekly tweetchat.

"It has been exciting to watch The Plutus Awards grow over the years and I'm honored to be hosting the awards ceremony at FinCon14 this year,” Jacobs said. “I had a blast performing the opening number with the talented and hilarious Kevin McKee last year. Kevin was a fantastic host the past two years and left some huge shoes for me to fill.”

Materials from companies wishing to be considered for a Plutus Award are due June 27. Nominations will be accepted from the public between August 1 and August 25, with finalists announced September 2. The winners will be announced during the FinCon Expo on September 20.
