Russia's lender VTB posted a rise in its 2013 net profit.The bank's fourth-quarter net profit surged 79% to 54.5 billion rubles ($1.55 billion). Its net profit for the full year jumped 11% to RUB100.5 billion.Its quarterly net interest income climbed 25% to RUB89.8 billion and rose 31% to RUB323.0 billion for the year.
