This is what Nic Chahine averages with his option buys. Not selling covered calls or spreads… BUYING options. Most traders don’t even have a winning percentage of 27% buying options. He has an 83% win rate. Here’s how he does it.

After the two day FOMC meeting ended Wednesday, Federal Reserve’s new chairman Janet Yellen acknowledged that the bond buying stimulus program could end this fall and the benchmark interest rates will increase six months later. The Fed trimmed its monthly bond purchases to $55 billion from $65 billion on the back of improving U.S. economy. On interest rates, the Fed officials predicted that their target interest rate would be 1% by the end of 2015 and 2.25% a year later as they upgraded projections for improving labor market. During yesterday’s trading session, financials stocks, especially banks performed better than the rest of the market as banks are likely to benefit from higher interest rates. The 10-year U.S. Treasury note yield, a benchmark for many kinds of loans including mortgages, jumped 10 basis points to 2.77%, competing with the dividend yields offered by utilities.
