HOUSTON, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan Mordecai, the Weatherford market city president for BBVA Compass, was named the winner of the annual James Doss Award given by the Parker County Today magazine at a banquet last Saturday.
The award recognizes young leaders who are successful in their banking careers and active in the community. It was named for Doss, a Parker County bank founder, rancher and civic leader.
Mordecai, 35, has spent most of his life in Parker County and was named Weatherford city president in 2012. He joined the bank in 2009 and has worked in the banking industry for the past 15 years, spending his career in North Texas. He's on the board of the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
