Kellwood Announces Deal with Brown Shoe for Sam Edelman License Pact

Kellwood Company, a leading apparel manufacturer and marketer and Brown ShoeCompany (NYSE: BWS) announced today they have signed a licensing agreement to producewomen's, junior's and girl's apparel under the Sam Edelman brand.The contemporary apparel collection will consist of distinctive,fashion-forward tops, sweaters, bottoms, dresses and jackets with a similardesign aesthetic to Sam Edelman footwear. Distribution will be targeted toleading department and specialty stores where Sam Edelman shoes are sold, aswell as Sam Edelman retail stores and Sam Edelman.com. The line will beintroduced to wholesale partners in February, 2014 and will launch toconsumers in the fall of 2014. The Sam Edelman apparel business will report toLynn Shanahan, Chief Executive Officer of Kellwood Brands.
