Bank of China (OTC: BACHF) reported a 12% rise in its net profit last year.The bank's net profit for the year climbed to 139.43 billion yuan (US$22.42 billion), from CNY124.28 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of CNY132.43 billion. The bank's net interest income surged 13% to CNY256.96 billion.Bank of China shares closed at $0.4670 yesterday.
