DLCS President and CEO Robert E. Nevin, discusses the Executive Leadership Transition at Dermatopathology Laboratory of Central States (DLCS)

Dermatopathology Laboratory of Central States (DLCS), an anatomic pathology and molecular diagnostics laboratory, today announces the appointments of John C. Moad, MD to Medical Director – Laboratory and Michael C. Conroy, MD to Medical Director - Clinical.
Dr. Moad is board-certified in Dermatopathology. Dr. Moad completed his Dermatopathology Fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, DC and joined DLCS in 2001. In his new role, Dr. Moad will be responsible for the operation and implementation of all laboratory services.
Dr. Conroy is board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Conroy completed his Dermatology Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and his Dermatopathology Fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA before joining DLCS in 2008. In his new role, Dr. Conroy will be responsible for clinical leadership and management to ensure best in class diagnosis of skin biopsies.
“We are excited as Dr's Moad and Conroy assume their new positions” said Robert E. Nevin. “They have enormous shoes to fill but I'm confident that they are up to the task as our Founder and Chairman of the Board Dr Olsen, transitions into his new role.”
Thomas G. Olsen, MD is board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Wright State University School of Medicine and has been the Laboratory Director of Dermpath Lab of Central States since founding the lab in 1984. Prior to assuming the directorship of DLCS, Dr. Olsen was Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pathology at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Olsen trained in dermatopathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.
“Dr. Olsen will continue to pursue his passion as a practicing Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist” added Nevin, “while he leads DLCS' Board of Directors and provides strategic consultation for the Laboratory Alliance.”
