Integrated with existing DragonWave Horizon Compact radio, Broadband Antenna Tracking System's (BATS) BTS-5000 was successfully demonstrated to meet or exceed the customer's requirements for bandwidth, low latency, distance and continuous tracking.

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) January 23, 2013

Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems, (BATS), one of the world's leading innovators of advanced wireless wide area network (WWAN) provisioning systems, today announced the release of a case study illustrating its work on the first integrated tracking and stabilization system of its kind in Israel. The BTS-5000 system, when coupled with Dragonwave's Horizon Compact radio are now providing upwards to 400Mbps for a series of production sites at a local mine specializing in sea salt recovery.

The integrated BATS BTS-5000 system was mounted off mast on the production dredge 300 feet below sea-level, where it would locate, lock, and maintain continuous connection to the partnering sector base station located back at a tower on land. This ship-to-shore tracking scenario allowed for the client to significantly boost their real-time operational range from their previous Omni-directional system, to a realized high-capacity connection capable of reaching to 30km with little to no network loss.

“We are excited to be providing organizations solutions that not only meet their bandwidth needs, but do so with the simplicity, mobility, and efficiency that our solutions offer.” said Phil Cramer, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing at BATS “When paired with the Dragonwave Horizon Compact radio, our system delivers up to 400Mbps full-duplex, of real-world data that businesses need with the added mobility and durability features.”
