Auto sales in China climbed 4.3% in 2012. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, car sales rose to 19.3 million units, versus 18.5 million, in the year-ago period. However, the CAAM was projecting an 8% rise in sales.Total sales of passenger cars climbed 7% to 15.5 million units in 2012.
