Bio-Rad Laboratories,Inc. (NYSE: BIO) and (NYSE: BIO.B), a multinational manufacturer anddistributor of life science research and clinical diagnosticproducts, today announced that it has purchased AbD Serotec, adivision of MorphoSys AG, for approximately 53 million euros in cash. AbD Serotec is one of the world's leading antibody manufacturersoffering over 15,000 antibodies, kits, and accessories. AbD Serotechas an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified production facility in theUnited Kingdom, as well as other facilities in Germany and the U.S. "We are pleased to have AbD Serotec join Bio-Rad," said NormanSchwartz, Bio-Rad President and CEO.
