Science Applications InternationalCorporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contractby the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) to provide environmentalremediation support services at Army installations nationwide.  Themultiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has afive-year base period of performance and a total contract value of $240million for all awardees.   The USAEC leads and executes Army cleanup and environmental quality programs,providing technical expertise to enable soldier readiness and sustainablemilitary communities.  Under the contract, SAIC will provide development oftechnical and regulatory solutions to address critical Army environmentalclean-up issues.  SAIC is one of nine contractors eligible to compete for taskorders under this contract.
