Minerals Technologies Inc. (NYSE: MTX) announced todayit has signed an agreement with Henan Jianghe Paper Co., Ltd. for theconstruction of a 22,000-metric ton satellite precipitated calcium carbonate(PCC) plant at Jianghe Paper's papermaking facility in Jiaozuo City, HenanProvince, China. Jianghe Paper, a privately owned paper company, is one of thelargest carbonless and thermal papermakers in China with annual production ofapproximately 220,000 metric tons per year.The satellite facility, which will produce PCC as a filler pigment for JianghePaper, will become operational in the first quarter of 2014.
