Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW) posted a loss in the fiscal first quarter. Palo Alto Networks posted a quarterly loss of $3.5 million, or $0.05 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $4.1 million, or breakeven on a per-share basis. Excluding one-time items, the company earned $0.04 per share.Its revenue rose to $85.9 million, from $57.1 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.03 per share on revenue of $83.7 million.Palo Alto Networks shares closed at $51.30 yesterday.
