Systemax Inc. (NYSE: SYX) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a special one-time cash dividend of $0.25 per share to shareholders of the company's common stock. The dividend will be payable on December 21, 2012 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 12, 2012. The total amount of cash to be disbursed for the special dividend is expected to be approximately $9.1 million. Richard Leeds, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We continuously review the strategic use of our capital and are pleased to return capital to shareholders through this special dividend. Our strong balance sheet and healthy cash position provides us significant flexibility as we continue to invest in our business and execute on our strategic plan.”
