Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN) reported a strong rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Tyson Foods' quarterly profit surged to $185 million, or $0.51 per share, versus $97 million, or $0.26 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted profit came in at $0.55 per share. Its sales fell to $8.37 billion from $8.4 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.46 per share on sales of $8.48 billion.Tyson Foods shares closed at $16.88 on Friday.
