Sony (NYSE: SNE) posted a narrower net loss in its fiscal second quarter.Sony posted a quarterly net loss of Y15.5 billion ($194 million), versus a year-ago loss of Y27 billion. Its revenue climbed 1.9% to Y1.605 trillion yen, while operating profit came in at Y30.3 billion versus a year-ago loss of Y1.6 billion. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of Y15.57 billion and an operating profit of Y33.8 billion. For the full year to March, Sony cut its sales forecast to Y6.6 trillion from Y6.8 trillion.Sony shares closed at $11.74 yesterday.
